2017 Ford Expedition

2017 Ford Expedition at Kearny Pearson Ford

With reports that the 2018 model year will bring a redesigned Ford Expedition, the 2017 Ford Expedition sends the current generation out with a bang. For more than two decades, this SUV has been the one drivers depended on when no other SUV was big, or strong, enough. It has plenty to offer if you're in the market for a new Ford SUV from Kearny Pearson Ford.

2017 Ford Expedition Details

Given that the 2017 Ford Expedition closes out its generation, it's not surprising that it's mostly unchanged from 2016. The same eight trim levels, color choices, option groups, and standalone options all carry over. So too does the 365 horsepower turbocharged 3.5L EcoBoost® V6 engine, but given that its 420 lb.-ft. of torque remains best-in-class, that's not necessarily a bad thing.

Drive line choices are either 4x2 or 4x4, and comfortable seating is available for as many as eight passengers. Cargo volume varies by seating configuration, but it ranges between 18.6 and 108.3 cubic feet. Towing capacity is north of 9,000 pounds.*

2017 Ford Expedition Safety and Special Features**

With its robust build, and thanks to safety features like BLIS® (Blind Spot Information System) with Cross-Traffic Alert, forward and reverse sensing systems, and a rear-view camera, the 2017 Ford Expedition earns an NHTSA five-star safety rating.

More kudos are due for the Ford SYNC® infotainment system (which can be upgraded to SYNC 3 on select trims). Not only does it feed your favorite music files through the available Sony sound system, it also puts satellite radio, SiriusXM Traffic and Travel Link®-aided navigation, and your favorite apps within easy reach.

New for 2017

The Continuously Controlled Damping (CCD) System, standard on the Platinum and optional on the Limited and King Ranch trims, deploys electronic sensors to monitor vehicle performance. It makes adjustment based on input from 46 vehicle systems and actions, helping to make your Ford Expedition safer and more comfortable.
